Lightweight concrete, a mix of concrete and expanded polystyrene beads, is injected into a Steel Structure made of JK STRUCTURE Panels reinforced with JK BEAMS (galvanized steel wire studs / steel rods).
A 120m² house requires some 360m² of JK Structure Panels (approx. 1200kg) and some 720 metres of JK Beams (approx. 510kg).
The rest of the supplies consist of only wire mesh, cement, EPS beads and/or lime.
The JK STRUCTURE Construction process is an entirely on-site construction process.
- Suitable for low Skilled Labour
- Little or no heavy construction equipment is required on site
- Insulation is part of the process
- Prior to the concrete being injected, all networks (electricity, water, gas, telephone, sewage, etc.) are positioned
Reduced construction times and the lesser consumption of sub-base aggregates allows for cost effectiveness.
Environment
- JK STRUCTURE Houses are made of environment-friendly, bio-degradable material
- JK STRUCTURE Houses save on resources such as clay and wood
- JK STRUCTURE Houses consume less energy due to their good thermal insulation
Economics
- Are easy, fast and affordable to build
- Are entirely assembled on site, and with utmost flexibility from standard panels
- Allow an easy and fast incorporation of electric wires and plumbing
Architecture
JK STRUCTURE Panels:
- Adapt to most styles and types of architectures
- Are particularly easy to use to create curved walls and/or original forms and shapes
- Are particularly appreciated when the walls, and especially the external walls of the building are rounded or curved
